Meet the Winemaker:

Scot Bilbro is the owner and winemaker of Marietta Cellars, a family-owned winery in Sonoma County founded by his father, Chris Bilbro, in 1978. A second-generation vintner, Bilbro grew up immersed in the family business and later studied viticulture and enology at UC Davis before taking over leadership of the winery in 2012. Under his direction, Marietta Cellars has evolved from its early success with the pioneering Old Vine Red blend into a producer of estate-driven, organically farmed wines sourced from vineyards across Sonoma and Mendocino counties. Bilbro has been recognized as one of Wine Enthusiast’s “40 Under 40” Tastemakers, an honor highlighting rising leaders shaping the future of the wine industry. Known for balancing tradition with innovation, he continues to expand the winery’s portfolio while maintaining its reputation for accessible, character-driven wines rooted in family heritage.
